By accessing or using PDFForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PDFForge provides free and premium online PDF tools including but not limited to: PDF editing, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing, and securing PDF documents. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

3. Free and Premium Accounts

• Free users: May process up to 3 tasks per hour with files up to 50MB and 50 pages per task.
• Premium users: Enjoy unlimited tasks, larger file sizes, priority processing, and extended file retention as described on the Pricing page.
• Premium subscriptions are billed according to the selected plan. You may cancel at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to process illegal content
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limiting
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without authorization

5. File Handling

Files uploaded to PDFForge are processed on our secure servers and automatically deleted within 2 hours for free users. Premium users may have extended file retention periods as specified in their plan. We do not access, read, or share the content of your files.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your uploaded files and processed documents. PDFForge does not claim any ownership over your content. The PDFForge brand, logo, and website design are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

PDFForge is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service. We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or damages arising from your use of the Service. Always keep backup copies of important documents.

8. Refund Policy

Premium subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Refunds for annual plans are available within 14 days of purchase if you are not satisfied. Weekly and monthly plans are non-refundable but will remain active until the end of the billing period.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
